Chapter 2 is out!


Hello again!

I am proud and sorry that I am just able to put it out now. It took a year, to release it. Lots of things happened in my personal life that it's really hard to make a progress in the making of this game. But even when it is hard, I kept on going no matter what happened. So, here it is chapter 2!

Chapter 2 is finally out and playable. Introducing Breoned Wataru, the dark-skinned wayfarer from the Dragon Tooth village. There are quite a few changes I've made in this version, and I will list them as best I can. Also, it is IMPORTANT that you can’t continue from the last save and have to start a new game. I am sorry for the inconvenience. Here are the changes:

  • As usual, the bugs have been sprayed. Some NPCs that soft-locks the player have also been fixed.
  • As of this version, every time you level up, your HP and MP are completely restored.
  • Various enemies balancing. This actually also leads to character stats being rebalanced. The stats now has fewer numbers than the last.
  • This linked to the previous one, the stats rebalanced means that the battle is a bit easier and quicker to level up and requires fewer grind sessions.
  • Added more items, like food, drinks, and material items that can be used in future updates for crafting stuff.
  • This linked to the previous version save files unusable, it is because I put in a skill tree in the game. It is mentioned as techtree in-game. It requires a Tree of Kings’ leaves and a bit of RoBle.
  • With the techtree, comes great skills. Added new skills, so you have something to shoot for in the techtree’s….tree.
  • The HP visuals need to be replaced by the new one, which shows the exact number of how much HP they have. But they need to be reselected if their HP changes to see the actual HP. Don’t worry it’s not as confusing as I described it.
  • This one really took me a long time, but now HP recovery items also bring characters back from fainting in the middle of a battle. Except, they are affected by the “Death” state. The “Death” affected characters still need the revive item like “Heaven’s Snack” (It tastes heavenly).
  • New icons. I made some new icons for some states and weapons. It’s not much but it’s honest work.
  • I added some copyright-free music (I hope it really is free (It really says free on the site! ngl!)).
  • Skill sorts! Now skills are grouped depended on what skills they are.  For damaging skills, renamed to Offensive, and for healing, buffs, non-damaging skills renamed to Defensive.
  • Visual changes have been made too. Like, now it is possible to compare your current equipment to what you’re about to equip.
  • Random stats! Now weapon you get outside of the store has a chance to be stronger than the ones you buy at the store. By how many points? It is randomized, so I can only say that it depends on your luck.

 

Next is chapter 3. Finally, we’re going to the mainland.

For future updates, I wanted to add the character unlocking stuff. I imagine that there are some characters that can be unlocked to their full potential, but it needs some items to finally unlocking their story. After their story, they would unlock their unique items (Like Zerua’s Onyx Stone) and unlocking their own unique skill. And for the three main character’s perspectives, is it better to choose a character and progress from their timeline OR alternate from these three characters each chapter.
